The art, writing and atmosphere were all top notch! When the moment was meant to be tense and unsettling, it nailed the mood. Consider my nerves fully wracked!
Wolf and Leo were a compelling duo, and I am EXTREMELY interested in how their relationship develops as the game progresses. Wolf especially is surprisingly endearing. Just a very normal boy trying to do very normal boy things.
The game also managed to put me in the mind of the characters, where I was making some pretty sadistic decisions based on pragmatism and cold calculus over emotional attachment. Normally I struggle to make naughty or rude choices in games . Here, Milo and I were debating some... pretty morbid decisions.
So, um. Good job breaking me out of my comfort zone, haha...
(P.S. To a certain character. I'm sorry. T-T You did nothing wrong)
Thank you Bri! I'm happy you enjoyed my boys so much, they were very interesting to write!
It's nice being able to write atypical characters like that, so Leo has a soft spot in my heart even if he is the way he is. There is method to the madness lol I can't say it gets much better from here on out but thanks for being part of the ride!
This game definitely nailed the spooky atmosphere. The art, writing, and sound design were all so creepy! I was TENSE for most of it, especially when the music would cut out in favor of ambient sounds or silence. I might have even leaned away from the screen a few times when I thought I might get jumpscared, lol.
The CGs were so cinematic and evocative as well- The section when Leo and Wolf first reunite in the woods was extremely cool! Can't believe you did so much art for this in just two months...
I won't talk too much about the plot for spoiler reasons, but I will say I was morbidly delighted when a certain choice came up. Brii and I were debating/joking throughout the entire game that we might get to make that kind of decision, and we were pleased to be right.
Also, I was not expecting to find Wolf's personality so cute?? He's trying his best out there, bless him.
All in all I think it's a unique premise, and I'm excited to see where things go in the final version!
Thank you for playing Milo! And for the in-depth review omg
What I wouldn't give to see you and Bri's playthrough haha, this game was hard to write because I'm used to writing silly comedic stories so I'm glad the mood felt correct. I also love forcing people to make questionable decisions.
Wolf is the cutest! He's just a sweet, little guy <3
I'm glad you enjoy the story thus far! :^)
What to say about this game... Absolutely incredible.
And also scared the shit out of mewho said thatTL;DR insane ass game, play it
First of all - the art. TERRIFYING but BEAUTIFUL. The sheer amount of CG's? How does one person do that in two months?? I'm such a fan of how cinematic this game is and the use/timing of the CG's... idk how to spoilers comments so I won't go into more detail but YEAH
The writing is so good too, I love all the characters and I feel like. how do I explain this. every character feels like they accomplish what they were made to. Like the personality you gave each and every one of them! The town feels so alive! I love it! And the plot goes crazzyyyyy I swear some parts had me going insane.
And who could forget about the music...
obviously the best part of the game.No but honestly I love all the ambiance in the game, it makes the parts with music stand out so much more and makes the game almost feel like it could be a movie instead of a VN.I'm actually obsessed with this game I NEED TO SEE THE FULL VERSION BRO!!! it was AN HONOR to be involved in the music!! I love how everything in this game came together!! WAHOOOOOO!!!
